After a series of indie releases and growing buzz in the Atlanta music scene, Shawn Mullins’ critical and commercial breakthrough came when 1998 Soul’s Core shot him to fame on the strength of Grammy-nominated No. 1 hit, “Lullaby” followed by AAA/Americana No. 1 hit “Beautiful Wreck” from 2006’s 9th Ward Pickin’ Parlor. His song, “Shimmer” was used in promotion of the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney and was included on the Dawson’s Creek soundtrack. His co-write “All in My Head” from 2008’s Honeydew was featured in episode one of the hit TV sitcom “Scrubs.” Mullins also co-wrote the Zac Brown Band’s No. 1 country tune “Toes.” In early 2002, he formed supergroup The Thorns with Matthew Sweet and Pete Droge. “No Blue Sky” from the resulting album, is a modern day classic.

For the 20th anniversary of his breakthrough album, Shawn revisited the music of Soul’s Core by recording two new versions of the album. He calls this Soul’s Core Revival. This is not a remix or a remaster of the original, but rather brand new recordings with new arrangements of the songs – one album is stripped down solo performances, some on guitar, some on piano and maybe one a cappella and the second is a new studio recording with his full band, Soul Carnival.

She is undeniably one of the most eloquently emotive vocalists of modern times.Lorrie Morgan, the first woman in her genre to begin her career with three consecutivePlatinum albums, is back in the studio with award-winning producer Richard Landis, working on a new album. It is sure to be yet another collection showcasing the rainbow of emotions, from darkest heartache to bright, shiny humor, that is the hallmark of Morgan’s range."Where I am in my life right now, I'm not afraid to express what I feel," she says. “I'm not afraid to express my views on anything, especially on being a woman and my experiences in this business and in life.”

Morgan is known for her lustrous vocal phrasing and the down-to-earth believability of her torchy performances. On records such as“A Picture of Me Without You" and "I Guess You Hadto Be There,"the ache is palpable. She is feisty and sassy on "Watch Me," "What Part of No""Five Minutes" and "I Didn't Know My Own Strength." She has kicked up her stiletto heels in fun on her hits "Except for Monday" and "Go Away." On her epic "Something in Red" she is an honest, struggling every woman. She has been a daughter, a bride, a mother, a divorcee, a widow, a single mother, a bread winner and, ultimately, a survivor. In many ways,Lorrie isa living, breathing country song, and she knows what she sings."I didn't want to just do another album. I want it to be something that really moves me. When I listened to songs for it, I'd think, 'No, not that one. I'm not going to be able to sing that one, because I'm not going to be able to feel it.' It is very important to me for this album to reflect the things that I am feeling today."Recently in Nashville,Morgan commanded a stage shared by the iconic Judy Collins, in a concert performance honoring the 30th anniversary of LA-based record label, Cleopatra Records. She continues to match any of her earlier efforts, with an emotional range and a stage presence that is as vibrant as ever.

She is a peerless song interpreter, drawing from a deep personal well that spans enormous tenderness to cheeky hutzpah.Whether covering a classic or sharing one of her own songs,Morgan is truly a song stylist in the grandest tradition."I have always been a songwriter and I do love to write," she comments. "But I’m only comfortable co-writing with a few people, and I don’t like appointment writing at all.Plus, I'm not one of those people who says, 'If I didn't write it, I'm not going to record it.' If somebody else's song is better, I'm going to record it and not my own."Lorrie Morgan has been around great songs all her life. She is a Nashville native who is the daughter of Country Music Hall of Fame member George Morgan. She made her debut on theGrand Ole Opry stage at age 13, singing "Paper Roses." Her father died suddenly of a heart attack at age 51. She was l6 at the time and just beginning her musical career. Lorrie Morgan began making her own records shortly there after and was inducted into theGrand Ole Opry at just 24 years old.Morgan married fellow country singer Keith Whitley in 1986. She was signed to RCA Records in 1987, and her onslaught of hits began the following year. Whitley's tragic death of an alcohol overdose in 1989 left her a widowed working mother.

Their duet "Til a Tear Becomes a Rose"earned her a 1990 CMA award. Her first three albums, Leave the Light On (1989), Something in Red (1991) and Watch Me(1992), all earned Platinum Record awards. Her Greatest Hits collection (1999) is also Platinum.War Paint (1994), Greater Need (1996) and Shakin' Things Up (1997) are all Gold Record winners. She sang "The Sad Cafe" on Common Threads: Songs of the Eagles, which was named the CMAAlbum of the Year in 1994. Country fans voted Lorrie Morgan their TNN/Music City NewsFemale Vocalist of the Year in 1994, 1996, 1997 and 1998.Lorrie Morgan maintained her recording pace in the new millennium, releasing collections in2002, 2004, 2009 and 2010. In 2012 and 2013, Morgan starred and sparkled in the lavishEnchanted Christmas productions at the opulent Opryland Resort in Nashville. She took that show on the road in 2014.Morgan has recorded in collaboration with her father, as well asWhitley, Frank Sinatra, JohnnyMathis, Tammy Wynette, The Beach Boys, Dolly Parton, Andy Williams, the New WorldPhilharmonic, and Pam Tillis. She has toured with George Jones and shared a stage with JerryLee Lewis, newly inducted into the Country Music Hall Fame along withWhitley.“My children and I are thrilled to see Keith’s name added to the list of stars who’ve earned theirplace in the Country Music Hall of Fame,” she says. “It is a well-deserved honor, though Keith himself would’ve been painfully humbled.

I am happy for his family and the many, many fans who continue to point to Keith as one of the all-time greats.”In 2013, Morgan first teamed with fellow Opry star Pam Tillis, daughter of Country Music Hall of Famer Mel Tillis. for the duet CD Dos Divas. The two hit makers then embarked on a joint tour that sold out every appearance in its initial two-year run.The stars continue to perform their collaborative Grits & Glamour shows, as schedules allow. The women connected as working mothers, as business women, and as second-generation performers. Theys hare an understanding, and a finely honed, if occasionally bawdy, sense of humor. On the outside,Lorrie is very lighthearted. Still, on the inside, she carries a lot of pain.Singing is her therapy, she has said."My dad used to say, 'You should never take yourself too seriously,' and I got my sense of humor from my dad. I love to have fun. I've reached the age where I feel that I deserve good company around me, people who can make me laugh, who love music and who love to have a good time.”

[SOLD OUT] LARRY FLEET

JOIN THE DIXIE FOR LARRY FLEET -THURS, FEB 26 | 7:30P

ABOUT LARRY FLEET
Tennessee-born troubadour Larry Fleet grew up on a stack of records that spun everything from Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson to Otis Redding and Marvin Gaye. That mix shaped a sound rooted in country storytelling but unafraid to reach beyond its borders. A thoughtful songwriter with a knack for sharp one-liners, sturdy hooks, and a powerhouse voice that cuts straight to the truth, Fleet was working blue-collar jobs long before ever landing a record deal.

A devout family man and respected songwriter (including co-writing "Man Made A Bar," recorded by Morgan Wallen featuring Eric Church), Fleet has built an impressive catalog: 2019's aptly titled Workin' Hard, 2021's Stack of Records—a nod to the music that raised him—2023's Earned It with the standout "Things I Take for Granted," and now 2025's independently released Hard Work & Holy Water.

Fleet is doing things his own way—touring globally, connecting with fans, and staying true to where he's from while taking country music somewhere new.

ABOUT SUPPORTING ACT, DASHER
Meet DASHER, a brother/sister duo, comprised of Max and Laela Dasher who make their home in the heart of Appalachia, Black Mountain, North Carolina. But before there was Appalachia, there was Northeast Louisiana.

Max and Laela’s childhood was filled with screened-in-porch summer nights, where bluegrass ballads met the sweltering heat of the bayou. At a young age, Max and Laela learned perhaps the most important skill that any band can learn- they learned to blend. Blend their instruments, blend their harmonies, and blend their stories. This skill was perhaps perfected within the walls of an old church, where acapella worship was the only way to worship. And voices were the only instrument needed. It was here that they discovered how truly beautiful and haunting that a harmony can be. Fast forward to their high school years, where the Dasher family uprooted to the Blue Ridge mountains, known for being the epicenter of Folk and Americana music. It was on these cool mountain evenings where their passion for blending the storytelling traditions of Appalachian folklore with the soul-stirring narratives of their Louisiana heritage was ignited. DASHER weaves together the intricate threads of creating a sound that is both hauntingly familiar and refreshingly unique. DASHER is nostalgia. Every lyric has a story attached to it. Every instrument is a tribute to a place. When you hear the desperate whine of the fiddle, we hope you are taken somewhere warm. When the gentle plucking of the guitar begins, we hope you smell your grandma’s cooking. When the chords of the piano strike, we hope you are transported back to that little white church that you first found God. One thing is certain: when you listen to DASHER, you're not just hearing music—you're coming home.

The Band of Heathens are an American rock 'n' roll band from Austin, Texas since 2005. Founding members Ed Jurdi and Gordy Quist remain at the center of the band as primary songwriters and guitarists along with Trevor Nealon on keys who has been with the band since 2008. In 2009 the band was invited to record an episode of Austin City Limits on the heels of the release of their album, One Foot In The Ether. The band has found continued success almost 20 years into their existence, the most recent being the release of their critically-acclaimed new album, Simple Things (BOH Records, 2023), and their recording of the song "Hurricane" was just certified gold by the R.I.A.A. (from Top Hat Crown & the Clapmaster's Son, 2011). Simple Things sat at #1 on the official Americana radio chart for 2 months in 2023 and in the top 10 for almost half of the year. The Simple Things album release also earned the band a national TV appearance on CBS Saturday Morning, and added to their already impressive streaming numbers. The band's discography has been collectively streamed close to a billion times. The Band of Heathens has remained fiercely independent from day one, turning down record deals and forging their own path in the world on their own terms.

SAMANTHA FISH

One of the most formidable guitarists of her generation, Samantha Fish deals in her own unmatched brand of bravado, bringing both mind-blowing power and extraordinary emotionality to everything she creates. Since first introducing the world to her larger-than-life talent, the multi-award-winning festival headliner has built a triumphant career whose latest milestones include earning a Grammy nomination for Death Wish Blues (her 2023 collaboration with rocker Jesse Dayton) and opening for The Rolling Stones on their final 2024 U.S. tour date. On her new album Paper Doll, Fish offers up nine powerhouse songs that hit with an unstoppable force, each delivered with an exquisite dose of illuminating insight, soul-soothing empathy, and—above all—newly heightened clarity of vision. “It’s taken me years to finally find my voice in a studio setting,” Fish admits. “But with this record I took everything I had, and slammed it right on the table.”

Fish’s first-ever album recorded with her touring band, Paper Doll takes its title from the first song the Kansas City-bred musician penned for the LP: a raw yet reflective battle cry that perfectly encapsulates the album’s spirit of unapologetic defiance. “That song’s a feminist anthem in a way—but then again, every song’s a feminist anthem when you’re a woman writing from your own experience,” says Fish. “It’s about rebelling against other people’s expectations of who you’re supposed to be, which feels pretty relevant for the times we’re living in right now.”

Recorded at The Orb in Austin and Savannah Studios in L.A., Paper Doll marks the latest entry in an uncompromising and endlessly adventurous catalog that’s found her working with luminaries like Jon Spencer of Jon Spencer Blues Explosion as well as Luther Dickinson (co-founder of North Mississippi Allstars and former member of the Black Crowes). This time around, Fish reunited with Detroit garage-rock icon Bobby Harlow, who also produced her 2017 LP Chills & Fever. “When I look back on Chills & Fever I realize that Bobby was pushing me into some cool and dangerous places, but at that phase in my life I was holding back a bit,” she says. “Now I’m at a point where I’m ready to give people something totally unexpected, something that breaks the pop formula and really takes its time to tell a story with the guitar playing.”

For help in shaping Paper Doll’s magnificently rowdy but nuanced sound, Fish joined forces with bandmates Ron Johnson (bass), Jamie Douglass (drums), and Mickey Finn (keys), cutting most of the album in the midst of a grueling touring schedule that included a run of dates with Slash on the legendary guitarist’s S.E.R.P.E.N.T. festival in summer 2024. “I’d never made a record on the road like that,” Fish reveals. “Even though it was so intense, it felt good to keep up the momentum from the live show. It helped us make an album that’s got a real living, breathing pulse to it.”

A potent balance of catharsis and introspection, boldness and vulnerability, Paper Doll opens on the sublimely moody riffs of “I’m Done Runnin’”—an exhilarating statement of self-reliance, expressed with unshakable self-possession (from the bridge: “When I look in the mirror, staring at the unknown/The world’s not getting clearer, but I like where I’m goin’”). “It’s about pushing forward even when life knocks you down, because you know what you want,” Fish explains. One of several songs partly composed with her longtime co-writer Jim McCormick (a multi-platinum hitmaker whose credits also include Luke Bryan and Tim McGraw), “I’m Done Runnin’” draws much of its impact from Fish’s deepened confidence in her vocal prowess. “Singing live onstage is one thing, but learning how to bring that energy into the studio is a whole different beast,” she points out.

Another track steeped in fiery attitude and hard-won self-assurance, “Lose You” kicks into a breakneck pace as Fish confronts a noncommittal paramour, adorning her takedown with a blazing guitar solo and the beguiling harmonies of backup singers D. Scaife, Keo, and Gabbi Beauvais. “It’s a song about taking control and calling the shots in a relationship,” says Fish. “It’s my way of saying, ‘I’m on fire and you’re not, so what are you gonna do about it?’” Later, on the wildly fun “Rusty Razor,” Paper Doll goes scorched earth with a brutally catchy tirade against life’s infinite injustices, amping up the track’s pure punk exuberance with the help of guest vocalist Mick Collins (co-founder of seminal Detroit bands The Gories and The Dirtbombs). “The older you get, the more you can become numb to all the bad shit that happens in life—whether it’s friends passing away before their time, or working so hard and never getting to where you want to be,” says Fish. “But the truth is, we should never get used to our hearts being broken like that.”

Although a feverish intensity fuels much of Paper Doll, the album drifts into a dreamlike languor on songs like “Fortune Teller” (a psych-blues slow-burner driven by a particularly spellbinding vocal turn from Fish). Meanwhile, “Sweet Southern Sounds” unfolds in smoldering riffs and lush organ melodies, ultimately taking the form of a soul-searching epic that turns gloriously frenetic in its final moments. Co-written with fellow New Orleans-based singer/songwriter Anders Osborne, the result is a gripping meditation on a tension all too familiar to those fiercely devoted to their passion. “It’s an anthem about being on the road and feeling guilty about not prioritizing the people in your life,” says Fish. “It’s hard to find that balance between taking care of your relationships and dedicating yourself to your music, and there’s definitely a tinge of heartache to that song.”

A consummate music obsessive who lists such eclectic artists as Prince, Leonard Cohen, and Black Sabbath among her influences, Fish found herself especially fascinated with Delta blues heroes like Junior Kimbrough and R.L. Burnside in the writing of Paper Doll. “I love how in a lot of Mississippi Hill Country blues there’s a drone that happens on the low notes and keeps you hypnotized throughout the song,” she says. “A lot of the guitar work on this record is inspired by that style of playing—and then from there it explodes in all different directions, from rock & roll to soul to pop.” In sculpting such an expansive body of work, Fish found an ideal creative partner in Harlow, who also co-wrote a number of songs on Paper Doll. “I can be a perfectionist when it comes to recording, and it was cool to have Bobby around to stop from me trying to robotically hit the exact note over and over,” she says. And as a born performer who got her start by thumbing through the phone book and cold-calling local bars for gigs in her mid-teens, Fish crafted every song on Paper Doll with an eye toward her incendiary live show. “The main goal is to make great songs that tap into whatever I’m feeling at the moment, but at the same time I’m asking, ‘How is this going to feel live?’” she says. “I’m always thinking about how to add to our arsenal of songs and put together an amazing show for when we’re back out on the road.”

Arguably her most accomplished work to date, Paper Doll emerged from Fish’s deliberate embracing of the ineffable musical gifts she’s cultivated almost her entire life. “When we started working on this record I asked myself, ‘What are my superpowers?’ I wanted to lean into my strengths in a way I never completely had before, to make a big guitar album with some epic performances and really sing my ass off,” she says. “I ended up pouring so much emotion into all the songs, and I hope they help people feel fired up and ready to take on anything that comes their way. I’d love for this record to be somebody’s jet fuel.”

TAB BENOIT

Tab Benoit is a 4x Grammy nominated singer, songwriter and guitarist who has built a remarkable 30+ year career on the foundation of his gritty and soulful Delta swamp blues, acquiring a devoted legion of fans along the way, as well as 5 Blues Music Awards, including BB King Entertainer of the Year (twice) and an induction into The Louisiana Music Hall of Fame.

After a 13-year hiatus, Tab is back with his latest effort, I Hear Thunder, on his own label, Whiskey Bayou Records. The new album was his first #1 in the Billboard charts in over 30 years. Read more about it in Billboard here.. Benoit's 2013 release, Medicine, was co-produced with Anders Osborne for Concord International, and garnered three Blues Music Awards. Following this notable success, Benoit took a step away from music, taking a 13-year sabbatical from recording and entering a period of creative exile.

Tab's accomplishments as a musician are matched only by his devotion to the environmental health of his native Louisiana wetlands. The notoriety achieved by his success provided him with a mouthpiece to promote his growing concern for the Louisiana Wetlands and coastal erosion from the region he calls home. Benoit is the founder and driving force behind Voice of the Wetlands, an organization working to preserve the coastal waters of his home state. In 2010, he received the Governor's Award for Conservationist of the Year from the Louisiana Wildlife Federation. There’s a moment right at the very beginning of any Twitty & Lynn show that affords country music fans the chance to look back in time. Just after the band has played the signature intro to “Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man,” Tre Twitty and Tayla Lynn shoot each other a glance that summons the electrifying chemistry of their grandparents: Tre is the grandson of Conway Twitty, Tayla is the granddaughter of Loretta Lynn.

Audiences can’t believe their eyes. From that moment, for the next 90 minutes, they’re in the presence of living country music history.

“Fans have told Tayla and me that when they see us onstage singing, talking, and just looking at each other, they think, ‘Wow, there must be something genetic in those two families,’” Tre says. “It validates the experience of the concert for them. We’re telling our grandparents’ story through our story.”

But Twitty & Lynn — and their internationally popular show “A Salute to Conway & Loretta” — aren’t impersonators. Tre doesn’t groom Seventies sideburns and perm his hair; Tayla doesn’t mimic her grandmother’s mannerisms. Rather, they are onstage celebrating country music, the lost art of duet singing, and the two beloved icons they refer to as “Poppy” and “Memaw.”

“I think of us as the ambassadors of the Twitty and Lynn names — we’re just the new version of what they’ve already established,” Tre says. “But we also want to be caretakers of the past. At our shows, we get generations of fans because country music is passed down.”

“It’s about family — the fans’ families and our own,” Tayla says. “We have so much love and respect for Conway and Loretta and we want to carry this on in such a way that we make our families proud.”

Loretta herself was impressed. The Country Music Hall of Fame member helped her granddaughter and Tre with their show and had the same time-traveling experience that today’s audiences do while watching them perform. “Memaw just loved it. It brought up so many memories of Conway for her and took her back to a place in her life when they were building their careers. She’d always say that Tre has Conway’s heart,” says Tayla, who lives at Lynn’s Tennessee ranch and used to tour with her grandmother, cuddling up together in the bus’s bedroom to watch old movies while on the road. “We were very close,” she says.

Tayla first had the idea for the show after witnessing Tre perform Conway’s songs during a concert at the ranch. She approached him about teaming up and, after a few shows to test the waters, they embarked on a tour of Canada in 2018. “Even though we didn’t grow up together, meeting each other wasn’t like meeting strangers,” Tayla says. “It was like we had always known each other because we had the same experiences.”

Now together as “Twitty & Lynn” for five years and poised to launch a huge summertime tour, the duo has cultivated an audience and caught the attention of Nashville along the way. In 2022, they made their debut on the world-famous Grand Ole Opry, singing “Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man” on the very same circle of wood where Conway and Loretta once stood.

The duo credits their show’s popularity to the timeless songs of Conway and Loretta — duets like “After the Fire Is Gone” and “You’re the Reason Our Kids Are Ugly” are all in the set, along with Conway and Loretta solo hits like “Hello, Darlin’” and “Coal Miner’s Daughter.” But they’re also giving audiences a chance to relive a moment in time that ended far too soon: Conway and Loretta stopped touring together full-time in 1981, and Conway died in 1993. “Conway has been gone 30 years,” Tre says. “Had Poppy lived, I think there would have been a great second act for him and Loretta. There’s a lot of people that wanted to see that, and we’re able to let them hear those songs and stories again.”

Tre and Tayla are busy forging their own artistic identities too. The duo has an album of originals (and a few covers) on the way. With Tayla as chief songwriter, she and Tre have written songs for the project with Jeffrey Steele, Mark Narmore, Shelly Fairchild, and their producer Scott Baggett. “We’re at a great time in country music and Americana, where artists like Miranda Lambert, Margo Price, and all these funky country singers are embracing the Seventies style of Conway and Loretta. So when I’m writing, I’m drawn to that,” Tayla says. “We’re in a prime time to be doing our type of music.”

The pair also released a smoldering cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “I’m on Fire” in 2022, with a haunting music video filmed on the New Jersey shore, and cut a version of Conway and Loretta’s “Feelins’” — recorded the day after Loretta died last year. The raw emotion in the song is palpable. “It wasn’t planned out,” Tre says. “We were going into the studio to record our original tracks and Memaw had died the day before. So we said, ‘Let’s do one of her songs with Conway.’ There was this emotion in the room that we just couldn’t ignore.”

Honest emotion, along with Tre and Tayla’s innate chemistry, is what defines their onstage performances. Whether they’re singing to each other or interacting with the audience, there’s an easygoing authenticity that comes across. Tayla even talks to the crowd about her sobriety, sharing a personal tale of struggle and redemption.

In the end, though, their goal is to entertain while, at the same time, honoring their grandparents. Tre is lobbying for Conway, already a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and Tayla is working on preserving not just Loretta’s music but her fashion: she wore one of her grandmother’s outfits onstage at the Opry.

“Conway and Loretta used to do everything with so much passion: the way they dressed, the way they recorded, the way they performed,” Tayla says. “We want to bring that to fans who were lucky enough to see our grandparents before and to those who are just learning about them.”

“Our show gives people an idea of what Loretta and Conway were like through their grandchildren’s eyes,” adds Tre. “It’s a special gift to keep that flame burning.”

ABOUT HUNTER HAYES
Hunter Hayes has spent his life making music that defies boundaries, and he’s only getting started. A multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Hayes is recognized as one of the most versatile and respected artists of his generation. Across five acclaimed studio albums, he’s played nearly every instrument, written for icons like Rascal Flatts, toured with generational stars Taylor Swift, and shared stages with legends ranging from Stevie Wonder to Carrie Underwood. Known for his rare ability to craft songs that resonate across genres and generations, Hayes connects with listeners through a blend of unapologetic artistry, masterful musicianship, and profoundly human storytelling.

Now, armed with his most sonically adventurous music to date, Hayes is ready for a new era, one that feels less like reinvention and more like arrival. Recorded mainly in his studio with close collaborators including producer Alex Flagstad, the forthcoming album captures the full scope of his creativity: songs that are as emotionally rich as they are musically daring, blending pop, soul, country, and indie influences into something unmistakably his own. Much of the material was recorded and written with a small group of collaborators, showcasing an artist fully in command of his craft and creating music that feels honest, joyful, and more grounded than ever.

“This project is how my outlook has changed,” he proclaims. “The things I’m focused on and the things I’m doing to step forward are to create my own happiness.”

A lifelong musician, Hayes’ journey began before most children start school. By the age of 4, he was performing on national television; by seven, he had played for President Bill Clinton at the White House. Signed to a major publishing deal at 17, he quickly established himself as a sought-after songwriter and performer, who captivated audiences with his engaging and authentic performances while earning industry acclaim with hits from his 2011 self-titled debut and 2014’s Storyline. His early success cemented him as an artist who has the rare combination of commercial appeal and musical depth, a through-line that has carried into every chapter of his career.

In recent years, Hayes has embraced the freedom of working independently, returning to the spirit that fueled his earliest days. That same drive that once had a 10-year-old Hayes handing out flyers for his Branson, Missouri residency now sees him spending long days in the studio, experimenting like a scientist crafting the perfect formula. That spirit sparked the most prolific songwriting period of his life - music shaped by curiosity, resilience, and a deep trust in the connection he’s built with his fans.

This new batch of songs reveals an artist comfortable living outside any single genre. Hayes weaves together threads of pop, country, R&B, and indie rock, with lyrics that explore personal growth, connection, and the search for joy. The buoyant “Around the Sun” radiates optimism. Born from a November 2024 solo writing session where Hayes set out to capture positivity instead of division. Continuing with his flurry of experimentation, “Every Piece” fuses vulnerability with a playful groove, and the infectious, radio-ready “Wait” captures the tension and grace of life’s uncertain moments. Every track carries the precision of a craftsman and the heart of a storyteller, reflecting a songwriter in constant evolution, who is never satisfied with his personal status quo and continues to create timeless music. Yet at its heart, the album contains the heart-on-his-sleeve lyrics that have made Hayes a relatable songwriter and continue to win new fans at every turn.

For Hayes, this era is about more than sound; it’s about purpose. “I want the music to feel like free therapy,” he says. “Something that makes you feel better, more understood, more alive.” That mission, combined with his unmatched musicianship and unwavering curiosity, is what continues to make him one of the most compelling artists of his time. As he’s done since his first steps on stage as a toddler, Hunter Hayes evolves without losing the essence of who he is - an artist dedicated to the song, to the craft, and to the people who show up to listen.

Mark Lowry is a storyteller at heart — whether he’s singing a beloved hymn, cracking a perfectly timed joke, or delivering a message that pierces the soul. With a career spanning decades, Mark has become a beloved voice in gospel music, comedy, and Christian encouragement.

He first gained national acclaim as the co-writer of the modern Christmas classic “Mary, Did You Know?” — a song that continues to resonate around the world. As a longtime member of the Gaither Vocal Band, Mark’s voice and humor helped shape the sound of Southern Gospel for a new generation.

But Mark isn’t just a singer. He’s a communicator. A comedian. A chronic overthinker with a mic and a mission. Whether onstage or on his wildly unscripted “Just Whenever” podcast, Mark brings warmth, wit, and spiritual wisdom — often all in the same breath.

Wherever he goes, Mark is still doing what he’s always done: helping people laugh a little louder, think a little deeper, and trust a little more in the grace of God.

Glenn Miller and His Orchestra made a big impact right before and during the war. And it had more hit records in one year than anybody in the history of the recording industry. In fact, its recording of Chattanooga Choo-Choo earned the first Gold Record ever awarded to a performing artist. Additional Gold Record recordings include “In the Digital Mood” and “In The Christmas Mood,” Volume I & II.

Back in the days of the big band era of the forties, any dance band “worth its salt” had a distinctive theme song. It was the musical signature with which they signed on and signed off at their engagements and radio broadcasts. The theme of Glenn Miller and His Orchestra was the beautiful Moonlight Serenade, and it is still the signature tune of the Glenn Miller Orchestra today. Interestingly enough, Glenn Miller originally wrote the music of the song himself as an exercise for a course in arranging. He composed it long before he organized his band, when he was a trombonist and arranger with Ray Noble’s famous band.

Today, it is considered a standard in the field of popular music with its popularity as an instrumental continuing undiminished through the years.

It is now more than 80 years since Glenn Miller first succeeded with the Orchestra, which still bears his name to this day. Except for a few years following his disappearance, Glenn’s orchestra and music have been heard around the world continuously since 1938.

Dan Tyminski was six years old when his parents began taking him to fiddle contests, square dances, and bluegrass festivals across New England. For a young musician who would later become one of the biggest names in modern-day bluegrass, those early experiences were life changing.

"Watching live music always spoke to me much louder than sitting in front of my record player," he remembers. "I loved it. Wherever music was being played, I wanted to go watch. Years later, I still feel that way."

Throughout his 30+ year career, Tyminski has left his mark in every corner of modern music. His voice famously accompanies George Clooney’s performance of the Stanley Brothers’ classic song, “I Am A Man of Constant Sorrow,” in the film, Oh Brother, Where Art Thou? and his vocal collaboration with Swedish DJ Avicii on the song “Hey Brother” was a global smash, having been streamed more than a billion times to date. His diverse solo projects and years of work with Alison Krauss and Union Station have yielded troves of award-winning music.

In recent years, Tyminski’s live shows with the Dan Tyminski Band have become bluegrass fan favorites and are regularly on the must-see lists among music fans of any genre.

With his newest album release – the Grammy-nominated 2024 concert album Dan Tyminski: Live From The Ryman – he captures the magic of those live shows, while also proving that he still has the same passion for live music as he did when he was growing up.

His earliest touring and recording work was as a part of the band, Green Mountain Bluegrass. He later joined the influential bluegrass group, Lonesome River Band, before embarking on his three decades of work with Alison Krauss and Union Station.

The first album that Tyminski recorded as a solo artist was the soul-stirring Carry Me Across the Mountain (2000), followed by the Grammy-nominated Wheels (2008) which was named the 2009 Album of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association.  His work with the EDM artist, Avicii, inspired Dan to create the genre-defying Southern Gothic album, released in 2017 to much critical acclaim. Tyminski would then showcase again his heart for bluegrass with the 2022 EP tribute to Tony Rice, One More Time Before You Go, which included guest performances by Molly Tuttle, Sam Bush, Dailey & Vincent, and Billy Strings. The following year saw the release of the full-length bluegrass album, God Fearing Heathen, which quickly hit #1 on Billboard’s Bluegrass Albums chart.

Over the course of his career, Tyminski has also evolved into a prolific songwriter, penning songs with Monty Criswell, Phillip Lammonds, Kristian Bush, Ashley Monroe, Chris Stapleton and many others.

Dan has been honored with 14 Grammy Awards and is a four-time Male Vocalist of the Year honoree by the International Bluegrass Music Association. He has also recorded instrumental or vocal harmony contributions for projects by Martina McBride, Reba McEntire, Brad Paisley, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Joan Osborne, Charlie Daniels, Kenny Chesney, LeAnn Rimes, Rob Thomas, and Charlie Haden, to name a few. Tyminski certainly represents the pinnacle of modern bluegrass music.

While Dan enjoys a good conversation and a good cigar, he can often be found participating in charitable Pro-Am golf tournaments, as well as competing regularly in the Foosball tournament circuit.

Drenched in sun-kissed natural beauty both inside and out, Nashville native, Deana Carter, didn’t take a seemingly easy route to stardom, but instead chose to defy the conventional expectations of the typical Nashville artist blueprint and make her own mark. And she did, undeniably taking the industry and fans by storm with her wildly successful multi-platinum international debut “Did I Shave My Legs For This?” more two decades ago. Anchored by the dreamy super hit ” Strawberry Wine”, Carter showcased her own blend of country and retro- rock sprinkled with the folksy singer/songwriter qualities that have garnered Deana Carter well- deserved respect and wild acclaim.

With EIGHT albums under her belt, Carter explores many subjects commonly shared over a quaint dinner, afternoon coffee or a sunny day hike with a good friend.
Her last release of Southern Way of Life was her first dive as Label CEO on her own Little Nugget Records, distributed by Sony/Red. These songs weave through the sometimes rocky terrain of adulthood, including loss of love, relationships on many different levels, trials, tribulations and simply put – life. As always, Instinctively autobiographical, the subject matter mimics the interesting ride of Carter’s own life – so far.

The daughter of famed studio guitarist and producer Fred Carter, Jr., Deana grew up exposed to the wide variety of musicians her father worked with, including Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan, Waylon Jennings, Simon & Garfunkel, Muddy Waters, Dolly Parton, and many more. Their strong influence would eventually seep into Deana’s own country-pop style, which reflects qualities that can also be heard in similar artists now, such as Miranda Lambert and reflective of artists like Sheryl Crow.

Developing her songwriting skills by trial and error at writer’s nights throughout Nashville, Carter eventually signed a writing deal with Polygram and soon after a record deal with Capitol Records. One of her demo tapes happened to fall into the hands of none other than Willie Nelson, who remembered Deana as a child. Impressed with how she’d grown as a songwriter, Nelson asked Deana to perform along with John Mellencamp, Kris Kristofferson and Neil Young as the only female solo artist to appear at Farm Aid VII in 1994.

Her debut album, “Did I Shave My Legs For This?” boasts six songs co-written and with the album co-produced by Carter, was released to strong reviews in late summer 1996. By the end of the year, the record had climbed to the top of both the country and pop charts, quickly achieving multi-platinum status, with 3 number one singles in a row. A “first” for the genre, Deana’s celebrated debut album held this distinction and many ground breaking achievements for more than 5 years and has become one of Country Music’s most treasured classics of the 90’s.

“Everything’s Gonna Be Alright” followed in late 1998 and in 2001 Carter realized her dream of performing with her dad on an intimate holiday album, aptly titled “Father Christmas.” Making a strong move towards adult pop Carter released “I’m Just a Girl” on Arista Records in 2003, the same year Capitol Records released a Greatest Hits compilation. Follow-ups “The Story of My Life” in 2005 and “The Chain” in 2007 were both released on Vanguard Records. In an effort to pay homage to her musical roots and preserve her legendary father’s label Nugget Records, that famously presented some of the best in country music some 40 years ago, Carter opened her own label, Little Nugget Records, on which her latest album “Southern Way of Life” was released.

Carter now divides her time between Los Angeles, Florida and Nashville, writing and producing for both the pop/rock and country markets when not on the road touring or making movies.

Her superstar success continues to be evident as the chart topper “You & Tequila”, co-written with Matraca Berg and recorded by Kenny Chesney, was nominated as CMA’s “Song of the Year”, as well as two Grammy nods, notable the coveted “Song of the Year” , and, also, received a nomination as ACM’s “Song of the Year”. You and Tequila received a coveted ‘Songs I Wished I’d Written’ by the NSAI in Nashville, something Deana treasures, coming from her hometown music community.

Carter also co-wrote and produced an album for recording artist Audra Mae & the Almighty Sound, while putting the finishing touches on her own “Southern Way of Life.”

She has recently held a Governor’s seat on the Grammy Board for the Recording Academy and served on the Producer’s & Engineer’s Wing, The Membership Committee, & held an active voice for Artists & Creators with Advocacy in Washington, D. C. & throughout the last year for Pandemic Relief.

Singer, songwriter, producer – Deana Carter continues to defy conventional expectations, making waves as she makes great music, tours, & makes movies.

ABOUT CHI-TOWN TRANSIT AUTHOIRTY

Chi-Town Transit Authority (CTA) is an 8-piece Chicago tribute band founded in 2017 and based out of Atlanta, Ga dedicated to reproducing the “Chicago” concert experience. The key to their success has been knitting together a highly accomplished team of long-time musicians who truly love the music of Chicago. With this foundation, they then pay close attention to detail in recreating the best of Chicago’s songs from studio and live versions and then design a show that first captures the audience, then gets them involved and finally brings down the house. It's easy to do because the band is having as much fun as the audience is. The band certainly doesn't lack for a large selection of instantly recognizable songs. They are able to choose from the steady stream of Chicago hits starting in the late ‘60s. This allows the band ample opportunity to spotlight each of the three main vocalists as well as showcase a tight horn section and beautifully arranged vocal harmonies. They have honed their craft by playing over 90 shows at casinos, festivals, performing arts theaters, and music venues all around the southeastern US. See a show and you will know why Beat Atlanta Magazine calls them “The best tribute band out there.”

For Taylor Hicks, winning "American Idol's" blockbuster fifth season was just the beginning. Hailed as “part Stax, part Motown and part honky-tonk” by The New York Times, Hicks’ intoxicating blend of soul, blues, country, and rock 'n' roll quickly rendered him a household name as he progressed to the show’s record-breaking finale in 2006, a historic television event which drew an audience of more than 200 million viewers. Hicks immediately followed his "American Idol" victory with a No. 1 Billboard single and an RIAA®-certified platinum debut, and soon went on to make history as both the first male "American Idol" champion featured on a GRAMMY-winning record (Jimmy Fallon’s Blow Your Pants Off), and the first to land a prestigious Las Vegas residency.

A versatile artist, actor and advocate, Hicks has since ventured into theater, television and film, starring in Serenbe Playhouse's 2019 production of "Shenandoah," touring as Teen Angel in the popular Broadway musical “Grease” in addition to appearing on “Law & Order: SVU” and hosting the INSP series “State Plate,” which won the Cynopsis TV Award for Best Reality Series (Travel). Hicks’ passion for southern cuisine led him back to his native Alabama, where he opened up SAW's Juke Joint, a restaurant crowned one of the “25 Best Barbecue Spots in America” by Men’s Journal.

Hailing from Kennett, Missouri, David Nail is well-respected up and down Music Row. Some might even call him a “tour de force” as his songs pull no punches in evoking the demons with which he has wrestled through much of his life. The GRAMMY-nominated multi-platinum singer/songwriter’s early releases, I’m About To Come Alive, The Sound Of A Million Dreams, I’m A Fire and Fighter, ignited his reputation as an innovator and creative risk-taker yet left Nail feeling restless. This led to the departure of the only record company home he’d ever known, MCA Nashville, where he’d formed friendships that endure even now. Through dealing with his own journey of mental health and the feeling of needing to “rebel against what people expect you to be,” Nail began making his most “organic” work to date, David Nail & The Well Ravens, with Jason Hall and Andrew Petroff. That project liberated Nail and propelled him into his next adventure. Writing solo for the next few months led to his debut solo independent EP Oh, Mother, a reflective piece of work. Of the title track, Rolling Stone noted that “the song creeps in like a sunrise — quiet, restrained cello and keys are the only underpinning for Nail’s powerful vocals at first. But then it slowly builds to something more massive and majestic.” That release was followed by Bootheel 2020 and Bootheel 2021, projects dedicated to the singer/songwriter’s hometown in the “bootheel” of Missouri. Nail released an EP titled Best of Me in 2023 and the title track has seen heavy press support and country radio airplay. 2024 brought more touring than ever, two great single releases “If I Could Call” and “Why” featuring Aubrie Sellers. Nail plans on releasing the start of an excitingly different and elevated album project this year leaving behind any self-imposed restrictions. In Nail’s own words, “My philosophy has always been, I just hope to have a good enough year that I can have a next year while staying as true to myself as I possibly can.”

Priscilla Presley’s appearance at The Dixie promises an inspiring evening filled with personal insights, behind-the-scenes stories, and a glimpse into a life lived in the spotlight. Her presence marks a meaningful and celebratory start to The Dixie’s 20th season of enriching arts programming in West Tennessee.

MANDY BARNETT’S WINTER WONDERLAND

Grand Ole Opry member Mandy Barnett celebrates the warmth and joy of the holiday season, featuring classic ballads like “White Christmas,” “I’ll Be Home For Christmas,” and “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,” along with spirited standards like “Jingle Bell Rock,” “A Holly Jolly Christmas,” “Marshmallow World,” and “Winter Wonderland.” Barnett takes her cue from the enduring Christmas repertoire of the golden era, updated with her soaring, sparkling vocals. Her holiday music has been featured in several television shows and the NYC Wall Street 100th Christmas Tree Lighting celebration, and is sure to put you in the holiday spirit!

Called the “Nashville Sound Chanteuse” (Music Row) and “the Judy Garland of our time” (American Songwriter), Grand Ole Opry member Mandy Barnett has built a reputation for her commanding voice and unwavering devotion to classic country and popular standards. Barnett started singing at five years-old and has enchanted listeners around the globe with her world-class vocals and musical chameleon qualities ever since. Of this singer’s singer, songwriter’s dream, and audience favorite, renowned songwriter/artist Jimmy Webb states simply, “Mandy Barnett has a voice for the ages.”

Among the many publications praising Barnett's talents, the Chicago Tribune calls Barnett “a torch singer in the grandest sense of the word.” Other major media likewise extol Barnett’s superlative vocals, “natural musicality” (People), “big, silky, expressive voice” (Billboard), and “vocal finesse” (New York Times). USA Today calls Barnett one of Nashville’s “finest classic-country and torch singers,” while the Austin Chronicle notes that “when people start talking about Mandy Barnett, eventually the word ‘amazing’ gets used.”

In 2020, Barnett came full circle with her East Tennessee roots. She joined a select group of music luminaries running the gamut from Johnny Cash to Taylor Swift in being honored by the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development with a Tennessee Music Pathways marker. Erected in Barnett’s hometown, Crossville, the marker celebrates Barnett’s contributions in making Tennessee the “Soundtrack of America.”

Barnett has released a variety of acclaimed albums, including I’ve Got a Right to Cry, named “Top Country Album” by Rolling Stone in its year of release, produced by Nashville Sound pioneer Owen Bradley (who also produced Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, and Brenda Lee). Other critically lauded Barnett albums are: her self-titled Warner Bros. debut; her Christmas celebration Winter Wonderland; the Cline-inspired Sweet Dreams; I Can’t Stop Loving You: The Songs of Don Gibson, a tribute to her friend and Country Music Hall of Fame member Gibson; Strange Conversation, an Americana blend of roots, pop, and R&B tunes, which AllMusic hailed as the “richest record of her career: surprising, lively, and deeply felt”; A Nashville Songbook featuring reimagined, multi-generational pop and country songs that made Nashville famous; and Every Star Above, a Great American Songbook tour de force with orchestral arrangements by the late maestro Sammy Nestico, which Variety named one of the best albums of 2021.

In addition to her own albums, Barnett has graced numerous movie and television soundtracks and multi-artist compilations. Barnett’s recordings have been featured in film and television projects starring Clint Eastwood, Tommy Lee Jones, Susan Sarandon, Martin Sheen, Reese Witherspoon, Matthew Broderick, Sigourney Weaver, Ellen Burstyn, Bill Paxton, SpongeBob SquarePants, and others. Barnett’s musical compilation work includes her duet with Great American Songbook Ambassador Michael Feinstein on his recent Gershwin Country collection from Concord Music Group. Of Barnett, Feinstein says, “Few singers have the gifts inhabiting the soul of Mandy Barnett. Her blessed voice connects to the truth of every note she sings. She’s simply one of my favorite voices.”

Barnett’s television appearances include “The Tonight Show,” “The Late Show,” “CBS Sunday Morning,” PBS’s “Sessions at West 54th,” PBS’s “Bluegrass Underground,” and numerous other programs.

Listen to KEIFER's FROGGY 104 INTERVIEW hERE!

ABOUT THOMPSON SQUARE

Everyone remembers where they were the first time they heard Thompson Square. It’s been a decade since the husband-and-wife team of Keifer and Shawna Thompson exploded out of Nashville with their multi-platinum mega-hit “Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not”, and crowds remain hungry for more. The Grammy-nominated duo has toured the world; won multiple ACM, ACA, CMA, and CMT awards; appeared on The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, NBC’s TODAY Show, CBS This Morning as well as numerous primetime tv specials and awards shows; earned No. 1 records in three countries, and even launched their own podcast. They’ve been praised as “remarkable” by Taste of Country, “deeply personal and emotional” by Sounds Like Nashville, and “vivacious” by Rolling Stone. And now Thompson Square has come home. After taking time out over the last few years to focus on family (venturing out briefly to release 2019’s critically lauded Masterpiece album), the pair are back on the scene in full force. Marking the ten-year anniversary of their ferocious debut, Keifer and Shawna have reunited with Benny Brown, the veteran label head who spearheaded their chart-topping success in the early 2010s. “Keifer and I really got back to our roots,” says Shawna of this country music homecoming, “But we’ve grown too, and the music reflects all of that.” The duo’s new material promises all the hallmarks that made audiences fall for the Thompsons in the first place, as well as showcasing everything that life, touring and starting a family has taught them. Thompson Square’s music has always been quintessentially grounded in their identity as a couple. Whether basking in the light of one another in the No. 1 smash, “If I Didn’t Have You,” or shocking the neighbors with flirty, distracting thoughts in Top 10 hit “Everything I Shouldn’t Be Thinking About,” Thompson Square’s openness with its audience has always made them one of the most intimate acts working today. And Thompson Square’s new music is no exception. Each song tells a story of a life-lived romance that encapsulates both the dizzying highs and paralyzing lows of love and partnership. “We’ve started a family together, we’ve lost parents together,” explains Keifer, with Shawna adding “This is real stuff.” The duo’s prodigal return to recording with Benny Brown for his new label Quartz Hill Records has allowed them to craft music that cuts to the core of everything Thompson Square is. Indeed, each of Thompson Square’s newest offerings - “Country In My Soul” and “Are We Gonna Dance - celebrate different facets of the pair. Their debut single with Quartz Hill at the helm - the breezy, vintage ballad “Country In My Soul,” clearly resonated with country fans from coast-to-coast, charging out of the gate as the No. 2 Most Added Song at U.S. Country Radio upon impact. Next, the pair released the upbeat show-stopper “Without You.” Banjo-backed and laden with their refreshing, husband and wife harmonies, Keifer takes the lead, lamenting over all he’d be (or wouldn’t be) in the absence of his loved one. Co-written by Tim Nichols, Anthony Olympia, and Brent Rupard, “Without You” released to DSPs on 3/10, and was #1 Most Added at country radio on 5/1. From the moment Keifer and Shawna met, playing a game of pool after a show during their first week in Nashville, there has been nothing but electricity coming from Thompson Square. As much as the duo has constantly evolved, in many ways, they’re the same as they’ve ever been. “We’re best friends, and that’s it,” Shawna says, “God just blessed us with each other. We love making music, and to be able to do it together is extra special.”

Texas Hill's highly anticipated debut album Heaven Down Here was released January 21, 2022. Sounds Like Nashville praised the project, "With its real-life-inspired lyricism and multi-genre stylistic influences – which melds soul, R&B, country, southern rock, and even some Memphis blues – Heaven Down Here encapsulates the true spirit of down-home music... an easy-listen and strong appeal to both country and non-country fans."

ABOUT THE MACHINE PERFORMS PINK FLOYD

The Machine has forged a 30+ year reputation of extending the musical legacy of Pink Floyd. The New York-based quartet performs a diverse mix of The Floyd's extensive 16-album repertoire, complete with faithful renditions of popular hits as well as obscure gems.

With stellar musicianship and passionate delivery, The Machine explores collective improvisation rivaling that of an early 1970's Pink Floyd, while their use of expanded theatrical elements and elaborate stage displays and lighting continues The Floyd spirit of the 1980's. The band is also known for recreating entire albums as a part of their show, accepting requests from fans, and for taking an A - Z approach in which one song is played for every letter of the alphabet.

The Machine has sold out theaters, premier showcase rooms and casinos across North America, Europe and Asia, performed at renowned music festivals such as Bonnaroo, Riverbend, and Gathering of the Vibes, and shared the stage with full symphony orchestras, including the Atlanta, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Jacksonville, Charlotte and San Diego Symphonies, as well as the Buffalo Philharmonic.

The band features founding member Tahrah Cohen (drums), longtime bandmates Scott Chasolen (keys, vocals) and Ryan Ball (guitar, vocals), and newest member Chris DeAngelis (bass, lead vocals). The band continues on to celebrate the music of Pink Floyd and to honor the life of Joe Pascarell, who co-founded the band with Tahrah in 1988.

"They duplicate the sound and hits of Pink Floyd with chilling accuracy, and they play for a hell of a long time.” - Matt Diehl, Rolling Stone

"These guys are great!" - Bob Ezrin, Co-Producer, Pink Floyd's The Wall

"The Machine look nothing like Pink Floyd, but that doesn't matter - they sound exactly like Pink Floyd, and that's what counts.” - Matthew Webber, Spin Magazine

ABOUT JOHN CAFFERTY & THE BEAVER BROWN BAND

The legendary "East Coast Rock'n'Roll" group John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band began their career in 1972 and achieved mainstream success in the 1980s with the "Eddie & The Cruisers - Motion Picture Soundtrack".  The hit single "On the Dark Side" held the "Number-One" position on the Billboard Rock charts and the MTV video charts for “five” consecutive weeks.  The album sold over 3 million copies and was certified triple Platinum by the RIAA.

The title track from the group's 1985 follow-up album “Tough All Over” became their second "Number-One" single on the Billboard Rock charts and the song “C-I-T-Y” reached the Billboard Top 20.  John Cafferty's solo track "Hearts on Fire" was featured in the Sylvester Stallone film "Rocky IV” and he received his second double Platinum soundtrack award.  Over the years John has placed 35 songs in major motion pictures.

Today John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band continue to tour and bring their exciting live shows to fans around the world.  In 2012 they were inducted into the Rhode Island Music Hall Of Fame.

John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band is the name of an American roots rock’n’roll band from Rhode Island which began its career in 1972 and achieved mainstream success in the 1980s. Originally known as simply Beaver Brown, the classic lineup of the group (consisting of John Cafferty on vocals and guitar, Gary Gramolini on lead guitar, Pat Lupo on bass, Kenny Jo Silva on drums, Bobby Cotoia on keyboards, and Michael "Tunes" Antunes on saxophone) started out as a New England bar band based out of Narragansett, Rhode Island and established a huge following up and down the Northeast corridor with strongholds in the beach resort towns of Narragansett and Misquamicut, Rhode Island; Cape Cod and Boston, Massachusetts, ; New Haven, Connecticut; New York City; Asbury Park, New Jersey and Washington, DC.

History

They first achieved success with a 1980 self-released single pairing two of their now-classic songs, "Wild Summer Nights" and Tender Years" which sold over 10,000 copies and enjoyed terrific radio play up and down the Atlantic seaboard. They finally achieved international success when producer Kenny Vance, offered them the score to a movie soundtrack he was producing based on a best-selling novel about a fictional legendary bar band, "Eddie & The Cruisers." Thanks to frequent airings of the film on HBO and the purchase of the soundtrack album by their established fanbase as well as hundreds of thousands of new converts, "Eddie & The Cruisers - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack" reached the top 10 on the Billboard 200 chart and produced a number 7 hit single ("On the Dark Side") on the Billboard Hot 100. "On the Dark Side" also held number-one on the Billboard Rock Tracks chart for five weeks. The album was eventually certified triple Platinum by the RIAA.

The group's 1985 follow-up album was highlighted by the title track ” Tough All Over “ which became their second number-one single on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. The song "C.I.T.Y" from that album also reached the Billboard Top 20 while "Voice of America's Sons" was the featured theme song on the motion picture soundtrack of the movie Cobra, starring Sylvester Stallone and Cafferty's solo track "Hearts on Fire" was featured in another Stallone film, Rocky IV.

The band's next album, the self-produced "Roadhouse," sold well to their fan base but did not reach the sales heights of "Tough All Over." In 1989, they followed it with the score to an "Eddie" sequel, "Eddie & The Cruisers II: Eddie Lives!" which became their last major label release of new material.

Several personnel changes occurred over the next few years with Kenny Jo Silva departing in 1992 and Pat Lupo in 1994 to be replaced, respectively, by Jackie Santos, formerly of Tavares, and Dean Cassell. Bobby Cotoia had been forced to retire from the road during the 1990s due to an illness but remained an active member of the group in the studio. His on-stage replacement was Steve Burke who remains in the lineup. Bobby Cotoia passed away September 2004.

As of 2012, John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band remains a top concert attraction touring nationally on an annual basis and they have placed new songs into the soundtracks of several major motion pictures including “Jersey Girl” and the smash hit "There's Something About Mary."

ABOUT TRAVIS LEDOYT'S SUN AND THE STARS

Travis Ledoyt is a singer, songwriter and performer who gained notoriety with his tribute to Elvis Presley starting in 2001. He’s since garnered high praise from those who knew Elvis personally and was dubbed “The World’s Best Young Elvis”. He’s opened shows for Jerry Lee Lewis, B.B. King, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Bill Haley’s Comets and Johnny Rivers. Though based in the US, he’s performed around the globe from Hong Kong to the UK. Also, for over a decade he has headlined for Royal Caribbean.

Travis was born in Greenfield, MA in 1977 – the year Elvis died. The third of five children, it was evident at an early age that Travis seemed destined to entertain. His impish behavior and clever wit were responsible for providing a good deal of levity and laughter within the Ledoyt household. He was a fan of the irreverence and chaos of the Marx Brothers and Monty Python and loved Mel Brooks movies. He and his siblings were always acting out skits in the living room or filming silly movies with the family VHS camcorder.

Growing up Travis was exposed to a broad variety of musical styles from the 1940s swing up through modern pop. His fascination with music led to formal piano lessons at the age of 9. Though he enjoyed the piano, he struggled with the structured nature of learning to read music. After a few years, and inspired by the movie Great Balls of Fire, he decided to drop the lessons and learn to play by ear. His focus had shifted to that boogie-woogie and Rock and Roll style of Jerry Lee Lewis.

Though exposed to Elvis’ music while growing up, it wasn’t until his high school years that he became a diehard fan. A documentary on Elvis’ early life captivated and fascinated Travis and for the first time he really stopped to listen to Elvis, discovering the magic that millions before him had discovered. He soon found himself standing in front of his bedroom mirror trying to comb a pompadour and singing Elvis’s music. In fact, it was a cassette tape of Ronnie McDowell’s imitations of The King that inspired Travis to try to do the same. Though he had no expectations of this leading anywhere.

High school classmates were aware of Travis’ obsession with Elvis as he’d grown the sideburns and dyed his hair black. In fact, some would playfully call him “Trelvis”. He was known for his humorous disruptions and antics in class and was aptly dubbed “Class Clown”. Perhaps it was “Middle Child Syndrome” that caused him to desire attention or his love for Saturday Night Live but either way, it was no surprise to anyone that he would wind up on a stage somewhere

His music career really started in 1999. Though he’d already graduated, he came back to his high school to “close out” a talent show hosted by the music department. While the judges were making their decisions, Travis entertained the folks with three Elvis songs. He was such a hit that after the show people asked him for his business card and wondered if he had shows lined up.

Fast forward to today, Travis currently tours with his Nashville-based band where they offer two different shows – both of which focus on the 1960s: “Tribute to the King”, which is his Elvis Tribute show, and “Sun and the Stars”, a new show which features music from the legends of Sun Records: Presley, Orbison, Cash, Lewis, Perkins and others.

Ledoyt has performed successfully in more than 100 casinos including Harrah’s, Hard Rock, Cherokee, Isle Of Capri, Horseshoe, Caesars, Diamond Jacks, Diamond Jo’s and many others. At Riverwind Casino in Norman, OK he has sold more than 1,000 seats annually eight years in a row.

Performing Arts Centers and Arts Councils have become big fans of Ledoyt’s show. He has played more than 50 of them, selling out nearly every show and drawing new fans to those venues.

In the corporate world, Ledoyt was the headline entertainment for the Fed Ex corporate party in Memphis, TN for two consecutive years. He was also the headliner for the International Hot Rod Association’s (IHRA) convention in Louisville, KY for two years. He has performed other numerous corporate events and private parties where his interaction with the audience members make him a tremendous hit.

The biggest compliment Ledoyt has received came from D. J. Fontana who was Elvis Presley’s drummer, “This is as close as you’ll get to seeing a concert by Elvis Presley in the early years.” Other accolades come from the New York Times (who chose Ledoyt to represent Elvis in a photo shoot) and from entertainment reporter Ken Fuson of the Des Moines Register who wrote: “I heard people all day talking about Travis Ledoyt so I went to see for myself. I thought Elvis was dead but I tell you he’s alive – I just saw him perform. He’s the surprise hit at the fair.” The accolades and glowing fan responses keep coming.
