Tennessee Songwriters Week 2026 is your chance to experience the stories, lyrics, and melodies that put Tennessee at the heart of music. Whether you’re a songwriter, a fan, or simply someone who loves live performances, this is a night you’ll want to replay.
Some of the region’s most passionate songwriters will take The Dixie stage on Saturday, Feb 7, each vying for a coveted spot in the final round at the legendary Bluebird Cafe.

MEET THE JUDGES
BRYAN MOFFITT
Bryan Moffitt is a Country Music Artist Singer and Songwriter from West Tennessee. He’s played in many states across the U.S. sharing the stage with country music greats such as, John Michael Montgomery, Tracy Lawrence, Lorrie Morgan, Jesse Keith Whitley, Randy Houser, Daryle Singletary, Colt Ford, Chase Rice, Confederate Railroad, Darryl Worley, Wade Hayes, Ricochet, McBride & The Ride, Gene Watson, Mickey Gilley, and many more. In 2017 he won (6) Tennessee Music Awards: Entertainer of the Year, Country Artist of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Song of the Year (Gasoline) and Video of the Year (Gasoline). In February 2022, he won Album of the Year for his “Whiskey & Whitley” album in the Tennessee Music Awards as well. You can find him on social media sites Facebook, Instagram, X and TikTok. He is currently working on a new album to be released in the Spring of 2026.
SOPHIA WRIGHT
Originally from Branson, Missouri, Sophia Wright was raised on bluegrass music, with fiddle and guitar at the center of her musical life. She has played in multiple bluegrass bands and now serves on the board of Ozark Mountain Music, teaching and mentoring young musicians through camps and programs. She values honest storytelling and strong songwriting rooted in tradition.
TREMAYNE JOHNSON
Director of Renaissance Percussion
Tremayne Johnson has more than 20 years of experience working with percussion lines and ensembles across the country. A resident of Huntingdon, TN, he serves as Director of Music at Brooke’s Chapel Kingdom Harvest in South Fulton, TN. “I would like to give God all the praise for allowing me to do what I love and for the opportunity to sow positive seeds into these students on a daily basis.”
