ABOUT TAB BENOIT
The multi- Grammy-nominated Tab Benoit has spent more than three decades carving out his own definitive sound. Born in Baton Rouge and raised in Houma, Louisiana, Louisiana soul, roots music, and raw swamp blues have always been at the heart of his catalog. His legendary playing is built entirely on tone, touch, and feel; his famously stripped-down approach uses virtually no effects pedalboards—relying strictly on his 1972 Fender Telecaster Thinline, a cord, and an amplifier. As Benoit famously puts it, “The effects that you hear come from my fingers.”

Benoit got his start recording with a legendary community of Southern blues and rock icons including Billy Joe Shaver, Junior Wells, James Cotton, Dr. John, and Willie Nelson, establishing himself as one of Louisiana’s most important musical exports. The multiple B.B. King Entertainer of the Year award winner and Louisiana Music Hall of Famer “Benoit’s a strong vocalist who possesses a versatile guitar attack. His resourceful chops on that instrument—very much in evidence on Fever for the Bayou—provide the constant dynamic that makes his records so potent and unfailingly attractive……Billboard Magazine

Driven by a firsthand perspective of the devastating land loss from his time flying planes over the Mississippi Delta, he founded the non-profit organization Voice of the Wetlands in the early 2000s to spark national awareness about coastal erosion and its devastating threat to local ecosystems and Cajun culture. He assembled the Voice of the Wetlands All-Stars— featuring Dr. John, Cyril Neville, Anders Osborne, and George Porter Jr.—to amplify his conservation message through powerful advocacy albums and live performances. His extensive outreach includes testifying before Congress on Capitol Hill and starring in an IMAX documentary about coastal restoration, efforts that earned him Louisiana's prestigious Governor's Award for Conservationist of the Year.

In 2025 Benoit returned to the top of the charts after a 13-year hiatus from recording with his self-produced 2024 album, I Hear Thunder, released on his own imprint, Whiskey Bayou Records.

ABOUT DUANE BETTS
Guitar virtuoso, singer, songwriter and bandleader Duane Betts has forged a distinctive path through American rock & roll, blending blues, Southern rock, country and roots music with the improvisational spirit that has defined his remarkable career.  His latest chapter is Duane Betts & Palmetto Motel, whose 2026 album, Isle of Hope, was produced by Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb (best known for producing Chris Stapleton, Brandi Carlile, John Prine, Sturgill Simpson, Jason Isbell and  Rival Sons).  “The warm tones on Isle of Hope… hit with an emotional resonance that transports listeners through shadows into light.” — No Depression, June 2026

The son of legendary Allman Brothers Band guitarist Dickey Betts, Duane spent nearly a decade playing alongside his father in Great Southern. He later toured with Dawes and joined Jamtown, the supergroup featuring G. Love, Donavon Frankenreiter and Cisco Adler.  Betts has also recently joined artists including Widespread Panic, Marcus King, Little Feat and Ryan Bingham onstage, further establishing his reputation as one of today's most exciting and versatile guitarists.

Today, Betts is also co-leader of The Allman Betts Band and the annual Allman Betts Family Revival. Whether leading Palmetto Motel or collaborating with some of today's finest musicians, Betts continues to honor a legendary musical tradition while creating a sound and legacy distinctly his own.

Palmetto Motel is…
Johnny Stachela (guitar, vocals)
Pedro Arevalo (bass, vocals)
Vincent Fossett Jr. (drums)
Max Butler (B-3 organ)
