This Week at The Dixie

Mary Poppins Movie & Mountain Dulcimer Concert

HUNTINGDON – The Musical Film Festival at The Dixie (Sponsored by CB&T Financial) will kick off on Thursday, August 21 at 7:00 p.m. with MARY POPPINS (starring Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke). You don’t want to miss this favorite on the big screen at The Dixie! About the movie: from the moment Mary Poppins (Julie Andrews) floats into the Banks’ household, things are never the same. The children, Jane and Michael, are swept into magical romps across the English countryside, tea parties on the ceiling, and madcap dances over the rooftops of London. Tickets for MARY POPPINS are $5/person at door; no advance tickets available.

National Mountain Dulcimer Champions Larry Conger and Linda Brockinton take the stage for a dulcimer music celebration on Saturday, August 23 at 7:30 p.m. Paris native, Larry Conger has been a builder, player, and teacher of the dulcimer for over 25 years. Linda Brockinton of Little Rock, Arkansas, has played flute with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra. Both artists are among the most in-demand dulcimer performers and clinicians across the country. Don’t miss this night of great entertainment! Tickets for the Mountain Dulcimer Concert are $15/person.
