Music & Lyrics by William Wade. Book by John Tartaglia. Tank, Bubbles and Dorsel are three best friends who just happen to be fish, and they’re about to set out on a remarkable journey of discovery. As they swim off with a treaure map, in search of clues, they’ll sing, dance, and make new friends, including everyone in the audience. Ultimately they discover the greatest treasure of all: friendship. |

The music of San Jose Taiko weaves traditional Japanese sounds with the beat of world rhythms. Japanese, African, Balinese, Latin, American rock and jazz merge to produce an innovative contemporary sound. The taiko is a Japanese drum and an instrument that embodies the spiritual essence and heartbeat of Japan and its people, replete with continued possibilities, renewal and transformation. With its roots in the folk tradition of Japan, the taiko has served many purposes including to chase evil spirits, bolster courage, and to give thanks for bountiful harvests. |

The Little Engine That Could

Choo Choo! Only the little switch engine agreed to try and pull the heavy train cars up the big mountain. The other big, strong engines laughed at the Little Engine and said it was impossible. Children will learn the importance of optimism and hard work as they chant “I think I can! I think I can!” to help the Little Engine get over the mountain. |

Making their return to The Dixie, Black Violin is committed to teaching children that classical music is cool! Kev Marcus and Wil b are Black Violin, two classically trained musicians who, along with their DJ TK, have created the ultimate synergy between classical and hip-hop music. They have toured with Akon and Wu-Tang Clan, and worked with P. Diddy and Aerosmith. Kev Marcus and Wil b used their musical talents to earn full scholarships to college. Now Black Violin want to make sure that other young people get the same opportunity that they did. |
