Jean Shepard & Hawkshaw Hawkins Jr. Headline the Fun on the Farm Jamboree
Jean Shepard is a honky tonk angel of country music and the first female singer to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry. She was also the first female singer in country music to sell over a million records.
In 1963, Jean’s husband, Hawkshaw Hawkins, was killed in the same Camden, Tennessee, plane crash that took the life of Patsy Cline. At the time of the crash, Jean was pregnant with their son, who was born a month later.
Don’t miss “The Grand Lady of the Grand Ole Opry” and her son,
Hawkshaw Hawkins Jr., on the April Jamboree!

Saturday, May 15, 2010, 2:00 pm The Fun on the Farm Jamboree Headlined by LeFevre Quartet
The May Fun on the Farm Jamboree is our Gospel show headlined by The LeFevre Quartet who emerged onto the gospel music scene in 2005. The musical objective was to form a group by filling each vocal position with the best in their field. The spiritual objective was for each of those individuals to have a sincere passion for people and for their relationship with God. Four individual vocalists formed a partnership known as “The LeFevre Quartet”. Just one year after forming, fans voted them the 2006 Horizon Group of the Year at the Singing News Fan Awards. In 2007, they were voted “Breakthrough Artist Of The Year” at the SGN Awards just outside of Nashville, TN. Their hit song, “Big Mighty God” was nominated for Southern Gospel Song of The Year at the 2009 Dove Awards.
