Bill Anderson

Dixie Live Concert Series
Bill Anderson with Songwriter Friends

Dixie Live logoFamed songwriter and enduring entertainer, “whispering Bill” Anderson returns to The Dixie bringing along some songwriting friends, Jimmy Yeary and Irene Kelley. A member of the Grand Ole Opry and Country Music Hall of Fame, Anderson is one of the most awarded songwriters in the history of country music, a million-selling recording artist many times over, television game show host, network soap opera star, spokesman for a nationwide restaurant chain, and a consummate onstage performer. Raised in the cornfield community of Hillsboro, Ohio, from the early age of 8, Jimmy Yeary began singing in churches with his family. His songs have been recorded by such artists as Rascal Flatts, John Michael Montgomery, Craig Morgan, and Brooks & Dunn. He even had a song on the hit TV show “Nashville” called “Wrong Song”. Irene Kelley’s signature mix of Bluegrass, Country and Americana appeals to music lovers across all genres. A native of Latrobe, PA, Irene Kelley discovered her flair for songwriting as a teenager and soon found her way to Nashville, TN where her songs were quickly noticed and recorded by Carl Jackson, Ricky Skaggs and Sharon White. While recording an album for MCA and independently releasing two more records and touring worldwide, she scored cuts with artists such as Alan Jackson, Trisha Yearwood, Loretta Lynn, and Rhonda Vincent.

The Dixie Live Concert Series brings live performances to The Dixie stage. Past and present country music greats, traditional bluegrass, soulful southern gospel, to the songwriters behind the greats, The Dixie Live Concert Series has something for everyone!
